Platform Development
From the initial idea to an established presence in the cultural sector – the key milestones of our journey.
2018
Founding and First Reading
The initiative started with a small reading in a vacant bookstore. Around forty guests listened to poems and short prose. The evening showed that there is a need for quiet, literary spaces.
2019
First Exhibition
Together with three local artists, the exhibition "Between the Lines" was created. Paintings and drawings directly referencing literary texts were shown. The response was surprisingly large – over 200 visitors came in two days.
2020
Digital Transformation
The pandemic forced us to find new paths. A stopgap solution evolved into a regular digital literature circle. The number of participants rose to over 80 people per evening. We kept this format even after reopening.
2021
First Festival
The "Festival of Quiet Tones" combined readings, performances, and installations over three days. Around 500 visitors attended. The success confirmed that our approach of quiet, focused cultural mediation works.
2022
Own Premises
With the opening of a permanent venue in the city center, the platform found a home. The space accommodates 60 guests and has since been used for readings, discussions, and small exhibitions.
2023
Award for Cultural Mediation
Our work was recognized with the regional cultural award. The jury particularly highlighted the connection between literature and visual arts, as well as the low-threshold offerings for a broad audience.
Each step was a response to what the community needed – and an experiment that was further developed.
